Yeah, I know, it's been a while

Two years, on fact.

Sorry about that. Thanks to Chloe Hayden for reminding me this thing even existed!

I guess it's difficult to write a blog when you don't really have much to write about. Though, looking back, quite a bit has happened.

I failed my animal studies courses - well, dropped out of it. I didn't really see much point in my continuing with it, since the Gordon seemed to be doing their best to fail me no matter what I did or how hard I tried.

I did the Jamie Oliver cooking course November last year (I think). It was fun - and I only missed one class! (That is a record for me) I now have a load more recipes I supposedly know - but don't, because I've forgotten them. I can't even remember how to make dumplings, and I've done that more often than I have any of the recipes I learnt!

More recently things have looked up for me. I started getting a support person in from Vista as part of my NDIS support - an amazing woman called Kirsty who always seems to have a funny story about her dogs or a friend's pet, or from her time as a vet nurse. She's been taking me to my riding lessons at Saddleon which I started having on Thursday mornings.

I get to ride a gorgeous chestnut gelding called Xavier, who is a cheeky fellow when he wants to be, but he doesn't stop at the gate to stare outside anymore since we started going on short trail rides in the last half of the lesson. Last lesson I had we even made it twice around the arena trotting! I am, apparently, a natural at riding, which pleases me no end because I love horses and I love riding, so being able to is absolutely amazing.

Have been doing a course with Caitlin since about April which is supposed to include free driving lessons, of which I have only had four. >.< It's like they've forgotten that that's the only reason I signed up for the damn thing. The whole course itself is about as organised as a dung heap. Was supposed to be finished by now, but they decided to extend it until mid-October, even though we've already finished the final unit. Ugh.

Daisy-dog is as gorgeous as ever. She's snoozing on the sofa at the moment, just a fluffy white flop. I love that dog more than anything, and thinking what I'm going to do without her is terrifying, to tell the truth.

Had a bit of a mishap today, however. I'd been up to the shops to get some things and was at the front door. I'd picked up the two, rather heavy bags of shopping after unlocking and opening the door, and was about to go in when the door decided to try and close again, so I kick at it to try to kick it open again only my foot not only hits the glass, but goes right through it. Oops! Still, it's an excuse to get a new door sooner rather than later. Maybe I should try that on my bedroom door too...
